The Whitton Life Centre The Centre is open offering a variety of groups and simply space for you to come and relax out of the house. There is information about all Whitton Life groups, as well as town and community wide activities - so always pop in if you want to know what's on or check out our window. There is a permanent children's play area with toys so you can feel confident bringing your children along to.
Mums and Dads Coffee Morning Thursday 9.00am - 11.15am (term time) This is an informal social group for parents in the community. Each week we have refreshments (cakes and healthy snacks!), a play area for babies and pre schoolers, and songs, craft and story time often based around a Bible story. We offer informal parenting support as well if you require it - as we know being a parent can be a challenge and because we know you like to socialise we try to have various social evenings throughout the year from fish and chip suppers to nights out on the town. Ladies Coffee and Chat Fridays 1.30pm - 3.00pm (term time) This is a social group for local ladies where we meet, have delicious refreshments, learn new crafts, cooking and activities and occasionally have meals and trips out. You are welcome to bring your pre schoolers along as well. If you just need to get out the house, if you need support or you just want to meet new people and try your hand at activities you wouldn't at home - come along.
Community Cafe Tuesday -  Thursday 10.30am -2.00pm Fridays - 10.30am - 1pm This is open when the centre is open offering cheap affordable quality food. We offer children's meal deals, sandwiches, breakfasts, jacket potatoes, homemade soup and cakes and chips.
Pampering Evenings Time out for yourself is really important and so 4 times a year we run ladies nights with massage, footspa’s, chocolate fountain, craft, nail painting and space to relax. Keep an eye on the calendar for the next date.
Money worries Money can be a big worry for most of us and so Whitton Life has a Credit Union Collection point every Thursday 12-2pm where you can access advice about how to save, how to steer clear of the loan sharks and you can pay in money safely each week and take out loans with a low rate of interest. Children's Groups Children get bored so easily and so we offer 3 different clubs for them to attend if they are between 8 and 14 years old. Dance Workshop 3.30pm - 5.00pm Wednesdays @ Kirkley Middle Cost £2.00 Whitton Rocks Music Workshops 5.30pm to 6.30pm for 8 to 10 year olds 6.30pm to 8.00pm for 11to 14 year olds Thursdays @ The Whitton Life Centre Learning DJing, Guitar and Drums. Chill Out 3.30pm to 5.30pm Fridays @ The Whitton Life Centre Games, activities, craft, cooking, Wii, pool along with a light meal. Information and Support At different points in our life we all need information about where we can get help and so our centre has a range of leaflets you can help yourself to that tell you about a range of services in the town. If you have any questions you can always ask our staff for confidential help. Coming soon: We hope to have a Citizen's Advice point permanently in the centre, with staff trained to help you find the information you need.
Parenting Courses We know life as a parent can be challenging and so we offer a range of parenting support. We can meet with you one on one for 4 weeks to go over smaller issues, we can offer a tip sheet on a particular problem i.e. trantrums, or you can attend an 8 week course that covers all aspects of parenting. Young at Heart Lunch Club 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month 12.30pm to 2.30pm. This includes a two course homemade lunch followed by fun activities such as Bingo and Beetle Drives.
