What time do Sunday services start?
Our services begin at 10.45am and 6.00pm. People start arriving about 15 minutes before the start of the service and there will be someone at the door to welcome you and show you where to go. They will also give you a copy of our weekly news sheet so you can see what goes on the rest of the week. There are Bibles available to borrow - so don’t worry if you don’t have one.

Is there a dress code?
No - wear whatever you are comfortable in. London Road is a family of all ages and backgrounds, some wear Sunday best and a lot don't!
What will the service be like?
Our services are for everybody. At times they are lively and energetic, and at time they are quiet and more reflective. They consist of a variety of items including songs, prayers, Bible readings and a sermon - come along and find out!
What about the children and teenagers?
Children and young people are an important part of London Road, and there's plenty going on for them on Sunday mornings as well as during the week. See the Children’s Place or Youth Ministries page for details. Childrens_Place.htmlYouth_Ministries.htmlYouth_Ministries.htmlshapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1shapeimage_6_link_2
What about money?
It doesn't cost any money to come to church! Those in the London Road family who are church members or regular attenders do contribute to the work of the church. Some of this money is collected during Sunday services but we don't expect visitors to contribute.
How will I get to know people?
Some people want to come to church and just sit and be quiet and they don't really want lots of people talking to them. Others come and they would like it to be a place where they can make friends. Either way, we respect people's wishes and try to be sensitive. Everyone is invited to stay after church for tea or coffee and to chat. Many people find that after they have been coming on Sundays for a few weeks they would like to join one of our small groups that meets during the week. These are a really good way to get to know about 8 - 10 people much better than is possible just by chatting on a Sunday.
Who is London Road Baptist Church really for?
We are here for absolutely everyone whether you would consider yourself to be 'inside' or 'outside' of the church. We work closely with people on the Whitton estate, at our Cafe and drop in centre. Through the church we work with many people in Kirkley, Pakefield and the wider Lowestoft community.

We have a large car park with spaces near the entrance if you find it hard to get around. If you are in a wheelchair or have any other disability there is an accessible toilet available, and a loop for the hearing impaired.
